Betsy Kim, Editorial Director of Lawyer.com, reports on some celebrities, called onto the carpet and off the red carpet. Police stopped NBC Sunday Night Football sportscaster, Al Michaels, for making an illegal U-turn in Santa Monica. He ended up being charged for driving with a blood alcohol content of over .08. Three Doors Down bassist, Todd Harrell, has been charged for causing a fatal crash while driving under the influence. Nashville police say he hit a pickup truck which flipped over, killing the driver. Police claim Harrell admitted he had been drinking and had taken prescription drugs. He was also accused of sneaking Xanax, oxycodone and oxymorphine into the jail. Although he's free on a $100,000 bond, Three Doors Down has cancelled its upcoming U.S. shows in May. Finally, people may be calling a case "Illegally Blonde." Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon landed in jail for disorderly conduct. In Atlanta, a state trooper had stopped her husband, Hollywood agent James Toth, for drunk driving. The officer says Witherspoon challenged whether the trooper was authentic. When told to remain seated, she got out of the car, claiming as U.S. citizen she could stand on American soil. She reportedly said to the officer, "Do you know my name? You're about to find out who I am." Witherspoon's attending an intervention program as an alternative for minor offenses. But her husband, whose breathalyzer test registered at .139, faces a DUI charge. Watch our Lawyers.com news video for more details on these legal news stories.
