The BJP says it does not have the numbers to pass the law. The Congress says BJP must show commitment and rest assured bill will be passed. However, it is also a fact India has seen dozens of successful women politicians who rose to the highest constitutional and political ranks - from former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi to BSP Chief Mayawati to Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and the list goes on.
