What diet do fitness models follow?
Whatever diet allows them to look like fitness models.
I've heard fitness die-hards say that you have to be Paleo or Atkins or use specific protein shakes.
Fitness models have to follow a diet that they can actually follow. A diet is worthless if you can't stick to it.
And it has to sustain your weight loss or current weight.
Fitness models need a diet high in fiber and protein, with moderate fats and carbs and limited sugar. They can get that from a number of diets, but it won't work if they cheat too much.
Yeah, I can see how eating your way back to last week's weight after six days on a starvation diet kind of blows.
Paleo and Atkins both limit carbs, a source of rather empty calories in our diet, and limit dairy that is high in fat and lactose. But you could be a fitness model on a vegetarian, Kosher or vegetarian Kosher diet.
Vegan would probably be even more powerful.
It's hard for vegans to get enough protein to be fit, though it is easy to be incredibly thin.
Yeah, there's little they want to eat within their approved list.
No, that's why they add red pepper and hot sauce to everything -- to add taste. But body building and sustaining a high caloric burn rate is hard on a vegan diet.
I've seen vegan protein shakes.
They're even more expensive than protein shakes based on whey and milk, though soy and nut based ones are fine.
Why is there so much debate raging over what is best?
Everyone hates on a program that they think failed them, while they rave for the one they are on.
And it helps them sell their current supplements, especially if the person is in an MLM.
Whatever pays for their supplements and protein shakes and meal bars.
